Contraceptive & Sexual Health

  • All our doctors can provide information and advice about your sexual health.

     

    This includes contraception, sexually transmitted infection (STI) screening, fertility and pregnancy planning. All of our services are confidential.

    Regarding long term removable contraception - Dr Lidia Nowak has many years of experience inserting and removing intrauterine devices (IUCDs) such as Mirena , copper IUCD and Jaydess . Dr Lisa Searle is qualified to insert and remove Jadelle implants . 

    Doctors can refer patients for sterilisation procedures and CityMed can provide vasectomy operations and vasectomy reversals on site.

    We also offer pre-exposure prohylaxis for HIV  https://www.citymed.co.nz/services/prep-pre-exposure-prophylaxis-for-hiv . We have two doctors that are able to rpescribe this medication- Dr David McKenzie and Dr Ravi Sandhu.
