Dr Gerald Young
BHB, MBChB (Auckland), FRNZCGP
I have been a medical practitioner in the city since 1988. I have been working from CityMed since it was started in 2000. I am one of the directors of CityMed.
I have a special interest in surgical procedures done under local anaesthetic in our specially designed day-procedure theatres in CityMed. This allows us to perform surgical procedures very cost effectively.
Procedures offered include:
· Vasectomy - no scalpel keyhole technique
· Vasectomy reversals
· Inguinal Hernia Repair – Open Mesh technique and the Desarda – no-mesh technique
· Umbilical Hernia Mesh Repair
· Circumcision
· Ingrown Toenails
· Skin lumps and skin cancer surgery
I am an approved examiner for Australian Immigration Medicals and New Zealand Immigration Medicals.
My interests outside of work are centred around home life with the extended family, walking Daisy the dog and cycling with my mates.
Dr Megan Corbett

I am one of the Directors of CityMed Doctors Ltd. I am a General Practitioner working 3 days per week. I have 2 children currently attending school.
I am one of the founding doctors of CityMed. I am a General Practitioner working 3 days per week. I have 2 grown children.
I completed my medical degree in Auckland in 1992. Following this I worked in Auckland and the UK for several years prior to completing the General Practitioner Training Program. I have been working as a GP since 1997.
I commenced working at CityMed when it opened in October 2000. I developed an interest in Travel Medicine and completed my Post-Graduate Certificate in Travel Medicine in 2004. I am now a Director of the TravelMed Clinic at CityMed and an accredited Yellow Fever Vaccinator. I also have an interest in cardiology, child and family health and preventative medicine. I believe in helping and encouraging people to maintain, manage and maximise their own health.
I am an accredited panel doctor for New Zealand, Australia and the United States of America – so I am certified to do Immigration Medical Examinations for these countries.
I have a wide range of interests outside of medicine. I am a keen hiker (having hiked all the Great Walks of NZ with my family. I also enjoy skiing, travelling, and spending time outdoors with my family. I speak English and Dutch
Dr Lisa Searle

I am an experienced GP who has been working in general practice for over 15 years now.
I am an experienced GP who has been working in general practice for over 20 years now.
I work 3 days a week, job sharing with Dr Lidia Nowak. I am married with 4 sons.
I graduated from Otago University in 1990. I worked in the UK for 2 years in private and public hospitals. I then returned to NZ and completed my Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and then my Diploma in Paediatrics, while working in the hospital system. I completed the GP training scheme and am a Fellow of the Royal NZ College of GP's. I completed a primary ACNEM (Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine) course in 2005.
My special interests are general medicine, especially women's health and paediatrics. I am interested in preventative medicine. I especially enjoy being involved in the healthcare of my patients and their family over the long term. I am privileged to have many patients who have had me as their GP for over 20 years now.
I am an approved panel physician for NZ, Australia and USA immigration medical examinations.
My interests outside of work include tramping, cycling, running, boating, learning Italian, spending time with my family and travelling.
Dr Lidia Nowak

I am an Auckland trained General Practitioner with over 25 years experience. I work part-time at CityMed. On the days I am not available my colleague Dr Lisa Searle sees my patients and vice versa.

I have worked at CityMed since it opened in October 2000. Previously I was a partner at Queen Street Doctors for 15 years.
I am a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (FRNZCGP).
I have completed the Auckland Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology .This includes training in womens health, contraception ,gynaecology ,menopause care and also maternity and baby care .
I have studied tropical medicine in 1981 with a 3 month elective attachment at Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand.
I have completed the Surgical Skills Training Course in 2004.
I have been the medical advisor to Pitcairn Island from 1990 - 2005.They now have a doctor on the island .
I am also an accredited panel doctor for the USA and NZ immigration services .
My special interests are; general medicine, family health, womens medicine especially gynaecology, contraception including IUCD and mirena insertion.
I am married with 2 adult daughters and my husband is a financial company director.
I am a keen gardener and cook and enjoy travelling with my family and friends .
I hope to provide high quality and attentive care and respect to my patients .
Dr Donna Marshall
MBChB (Otago)
After graduating from Otago Medical school in 1986 I worked in Oncology and General Medicine in Christchurch Hospitals for some years before making the move north in 1991.
I completed my specialist GP training with the Royal NZ College of GPs and have worked in the central city as a GP since then, developing interests in women's health, fertility and mental health. I am a founding member of Citymed and also heavily involved in the management side of running the medical centre.
An increasing part of my work is performing immigration medicals. I am a panel physician for the New Zealand, Australia and USA governments.
Mostly however, I have remained very much a GP. I enjoy being able to get to know people over time and working with people on health goals at all stages of their lives. The enormous variety in General Practice keeps me interested – you truly never stop learning!
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my 3 children and husband. I’m involved in Athletics as a competition official. I’m a keen gardener and also a member of a local conservation group that grows and plants natives in our reserves.
Dr Todd Pritchard
MBChB (Auckland), DipObst, FRNZCGP
Dr Pritchard is a General Practitioner with a special interest in Skin Cancer. He holds Advanced Clinical Certificates in Dermoscopy (Distinction), and Skin Cancer Medicine and Skin Cancer Surgery through the Skin Cancer College Australasia and is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with the College.
He has been a Fellow of Royal New Zealand College General Practitioners since 1999 and began working at CityMed in 2003. With years of Dermoscopy experience, Dr Pritchard offers the assurance of early detection of skin cancers, whilst providing reassurance when necessary for lesions that do not need removal. Treatments offered are tailored to the level of care needed, including non-surgical and surgical treatment including simple excisions, flaps, and grafts. Services offered also include thorough skin checks at intervals appropriate to the level of individual risk.
Dr Pritchard is a Southern Cross Affiliated Provider for Skin Cancer Consultations and Treatment, he is an NIB Partner and is a Full Member of the New Zealand Skin Cancer Doctors and is supported by other Major health insurers including AIA and Partners Life.
Dr Peter Morton
BHB, MBChB, DipCommEmergMed, DipSportsMed, FRNZCGP
I grew up and was educated in Auckland and graduated from Auckland Medical School in 1990.
I gained experience in community and hospital medicine while working overseas for several years. My interest in primary healthcare was first sparked by time spent working in a remote Australian General Practice.
I have been working as a General Practitioner in central Auckland since 1996. I was a founding director of CityMed Medical Centre. I am a fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.
I have a post graduate diploma in Community Emergency Medicine. Being a keen sportsman, I have developed a particular interest in Sports Medicine, and have postgraduate training in this field. I am competent at investigating and managing sports related problems. I was the team doctor for several syndicates during Americas Cup regattas in Auckland.
I have three teenage children, and enjoy pursuing many interests outside of medicine.
I work part-time at CityMed and am available for General Practice consultations as well as full personal medicals. I also perform NZ immigration and insurance medicals. My special interests are in acute accident medical care, sports medicine and men's health. Nowhere is the need for Preventative Medicine greater than in the area of Men’s Health.
Dr Ravi Sandhu
MBBS, Cert in Migrant Health and Tropical Medicine, FRNZCGP
I have been in General Practice in Auckland for the past 24 years. Born in Tanzania, grew up in Uganda and I did my medicine in Punjab, India. I came to New Zealand in 1978 and worked at the Waikato Hospital for 6 years, initially as an intern and then registrar.
I moved to Auckland in 1984 and have been in the city in General Practice since. I owned my own practice in K'Road for a while before leaving for a 2 year OE.
I came back to NZ in 1992 and started working in Accident Medical clinics and then moving into General Practice Locum work.
I have worked in parts of Africa, India, Australia and New Zealand. I started working as a locum with CityMed in late 2005 and have now joined the team as a full time Director.
I have a post graduate certificate in Tropical Medicine and Migrant Health. I subspecialise in Travel Medicine and am a certified WHO Vaccinator and able to give Yellow Fever vaccinations. My other interests include Men's Health, Sexual Health and Accident and Sports medicine work. I am qualified to prescribe- PrEP which is Pre-exposure prophylaxis to reduce the risk of HIV infection. I am also a panel physician for NZ Immigration medicals.

Dr David Mckenzie
M.B., Ch.B., Dip. Paeds, FRNZCGP
I graduated from Otago Medical School in 1995 following a few years of paramedical work and my “overseas experience”.
I’ve been a GP since 1999 and this was spurred on by what is at the heart of me… my desire to help people make positive changes in their health and their lives. As well as general practice, I have a strong focus on men’s health, preventative health, skin examination and some minor skin surgery, more than 20 years experience in Botulinum toxin injections for facial lines, and supporting health in the rainbow communities.
My style is to communicate plainly in a conversational way with everyday language, and I am straight up with this. I really enjoy getting to know my patients over time. I believe we are responsible for our own wellness and I share the responsibility with you to do this the best that we can.
My post graduate experience was at Tauranga Hospital for 3 years with a year specialising in Paediatrics, obtaining a post graduate Diploma in Paediatrics. After this I worked in the Waikato and North Shore as an adult medical registrar. I started working as a GP initially in West Auckland, and happily joined CityMed in October 2013. I also worked as a fitness instructor and international trainer for Les Mills for more than 2 decades, which strengthened my desire to actively promote physical and mental wellness.
My other interests include learning Spanish, diving, sailing, skiing, travel, hiking, yoga, kayaking and camping, birds and trees.

Dr Rob Kay
MBBS, FRNZCGP, Dip. Derm, Dip. Paed
I trained in London, and graduated in 2003 from Imperial College. I moved to New Zealand two years later, and have been working in General Practice here since 2009.
I am a General Practitioner who specialises in skin cancer. I have 14 years of experience in the detection and treatment of all types of skin cancers. This includes the identification, biopsy, treatment and removal of suspicious lesions. I really enjoy the work, and I’m achieving excellent results and outcomes for my patients.
As part of my specialisation, I’ve undertaken the most up-to-date diagnostic and surgical training available, including:
- The University of Cardiff’s Introduction to Dermoscopy Diploma,
- The Diploma of the Australian Institute of Dermatology,
- The Advanced Clinical Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery from the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.I am also an accredited member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia, and a member of New Zealand Skin Cancer Doctors (NZSCD).
Dr Terry Zhang
MBChB, BBiosmedsc (Hons)
In 2012, Dr Terry Zhang came to live in New Zealand from China. He completed a Bachelor or Medicine and Surgery at Otago University in 2019, and in 2023 joined the CityMed team. His cultural background allows him to be fluent in both Mandarin and English, which helps him deliver quality healthcare across different ethnicities. Dr Zhang works on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and is available for all your primary healthcare needs.
When Dr Zhang isn't working he enjoys fishing, basketball and home cooking.
