I am an experienced GP who has been working in general practice for over 15 years now. I work 3 days a week, job sharing with Dr Lidia Nowak so I can spend time with my 4 sons.
I graduated from Otago University in 1990. I worked in the UK for 2 years in private and public hospitals. I then returned to NZ and completed my Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and then my Diploma in Paediatrics, while working in the hospital system. I completed the GP training scheme and am a Fellow of the Royal NZ College of GP's.
I completed a primary ACNEM (Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine) course in 2005. I have an interest in nutritional and holistic medicine.
I have done some training with the Pfeiffer institute involving treating mental illness with nutrient and mineral support. I also have a special interest in children on the autistic spectrum and with ADHD. I have experience treating children and adults using a biomedical approach.
In summary I am a General Practitioner with special interests in women's and children's health. I complete NZ and USA immigration medicals and am interested in preventative medicine and routine well-health medicals for my patients.
