Botulinum Toxin A (Botox R (registered)) is a purified protein product harvested from the Botulinum bacteria, that specifically blocks the action of nerves on muscle fibres as well as sweat glands. In this way is it used to reduce facial lines caused my excessive muscle contraction, and it can also be used to treat hyperhidrosis (excess sweating) particularly in the armpits. Botox R can also be helpful in people with recurrent migraines.
It cannot be used if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or if you have prior allergy to similar products
It is administered by injections (mildly uncomfortable) by Dr David McKenzie who has 20 years of experience in this field. It takes several days for its effects to start working and lasts on average approximately 3 months.
Cost is dependent on how many Units of Botox R are used.

$45 per consult + $15 per unit of Botox R(units used can be tailored to your finances a little)
